Equine Iron3 Is a total haemolytic supplement. Horses on grain and hay based diets with limited access to quality grazing can have a shortfall of up to 600mg of iron per day.
Also horses in hard work and stressful conditions, or with heavy worm burden or blood loss, will be in need of haemolytic supplementation. Oral iron supplementation is preferable to injectable as it avoids the risk of overdosing and liver damage as the digestive processes of the horse will control the actual amount of iron absorbed.

Equine Iron 3 supplement is a caramel flavoured formulation of three important haemolytic ingredients readily absorbable iron, cobalt and copper. Ironmaintains the horse’s iron reserves. It is necessary in order to maintain the haemoglobin component of blood, which is responsible for carrying oxygen throughout the body. The ability to carry and deliver oxygen has a direct influence on energy transfer in the muscles and therefore influences performance in the equine athlete.

Cobalt assists the formation of B12 which works with folic acid to maintain red blood cell formation.

Copper facilitates the absorption of iron and assists in the formation of haemoglobin in the red blood cells.

Equine Iron 3 supplement can be mixed with a damp feed or syringed onto the back of the tongue. Because iron can interfere with absorption of some vitamins, avoid feeding at the same time as a vitamin supplement, especially Vitamin E.,
